The device is built to be one of the most toughest and most rugged devices to date, it has been tested to military standards and is waterproof rated to IP66 nad IP68. The radio also has an improved battery life of up to 28 hours!. 

The radio, like others in the DP4000 series has a large  colour screen which allows you to see who's calling, view job tickets, text messaging, phonebook and much more.
