This VHF version of the TYT MD-390 DMR Two Way Radio is one that's built for the outdoors. The radio packs a rugged build and user friendly design along with a full IP67 waterproof rating. Unlike other waterproof digital handheld radios on the market, the MD-390 offers all the features for a lower price.
The VHF version of the MD-390 still has 1000 channels with built in CTCSS/DCS and a full DTMF keypad.
The large and clear LCD colour display allows for easy use, displaying the channel, caller, text messaging, date/time and much more in great clarity. The radio features DMR Tier 2 standard protocol and is compatible with MOTOTRBO Tier 1 using standard encryption, similar to many other TYT DMR radios.
Note: TYT MD-390 is only fully waterproof when the side accerssory cover is in place and correctly sealed. Using the radio with handheld microphones / earpieces will mean the radio is not fully waterproof.
