Motorola Solutions have launched a brand new digital radio to add to their large MOTOTRBO family packed with features, available in full keypad, no keypad and in both UHF and VHF variations. The R7 is leading the way in two way radio.
The new handset is future proofed by the latest technology of both Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. These aren't the only new features on the Motorola R7, so let's see what else is packed into the new digital walkie talkie handset.
3 Versions of Radio.
As with all MOTOTRBO two way radios, the R7 is designed to get the information to the user, with minimal effort. You can combine your CCTV systems, Fire Alarm panels, building control systems, telemetry sensors and more onto the radio to keep your communications streamlined.

Let's have a look at some of the new features in a more detail to fully understand the benefits and how the end user can take advantage of the new radio.
The adaptive dual microphones built into the new R7 delivers incredible noise suppression for loud environments. Whether your staff work around loud industrial machinery, work on motorways or are involved in security at a concert. The microphones work together to dampen the background noise to ensure the person speaking is heard clearly.
The automatic feedback suppression on the handset works in a clever way to cancel out the transmissions heard on other nearby radios. How many times have you and a colleague been in close proximity and one of you tries to transmit?. The instant howl and screech from the radio(s) nearby is horrible and annoying. The new R7 works to level out what it hears from nearby devices and provides you with a professional and clear experiance.
The handset listens to your surroundings and adjusts its volume accordingly so you don't have to. Ensuring your messages are always the right level in either digital or analogue mode. This also applies when using any of the Motorola Accessories.
The R7 has been tested to IP66 and IP68 testing standards. The radio is completely dust tight and is protected in water up to 2 metres for 2 hours, combined with high pressure water jets. The new LCD display is also protected to harsh standards for a tougher build. Harsh environments is what the MOTOTRBO R7 is designed for, tested to MIL-STD-81.
